Platform eases development of designs based on the STMicroelectronics STR710F series of microcontrollers.

The latest development platform from Embest promises to help engineers to easily and rapidly evaluate, prototype and test designs built around STMicroelectronics STR710F series microcontrollers.

The board is fitted with the STR710F-Z2T6 microcontroller and includes 512Kbyte of SRAM and 2Mbyte of Flash memory.

It offers access to all the features of the ST microcontroller and integrates CAN, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, ADC, watchdog and more functions onboard.

Additionally, it enhances its performance by including a 64Mbyte NAND Flash device, a 10Mbit/s Ethernet interface, two LCD interfaces, an SD/MMC card socket via buffered serial peripheral interface, an HDLC interface and a SmartCard interface.

Embest offers a library of software examples with this board, all of which are in source code and can be used in popular ARM ADS1.2 and Keil MDK development environments.

The board has a rich set of peripherals and is well suited as a starter kit for university teachers and ARM learners.
