Gallo and Koehler join executive management team

Phasebridge has added Dr John Gallo and Dr Steffen Koehler to its executive management team.

Dr Gallo's appointment as the Vice President of Business Development and Dr Koehler's position as the new Vice President of Marketing coincide with the second financing round recently announced by the company.

Prior to joining Phasebridge, Dr Gallo was Director of Defense Programs at Bookham.

He has held similar positions at Optical Crosslinks as the VP of Advanced Programs and at BAE Systems where he was Director of Optical Technology.

Dr Koehler has extensive business marketing, engineering and product management experience, most recently at Bookham Technology as Vice President of Marketing for Transceivers and previously at Ciena Corporation as Director of Product Marketing.

Phasebridge designs and manufactures fibre optic products for industrial, military and defense, aerospace, telecommunications and biomedical markets.

Its innovative technology enables multiple optical subcomponents to be precisely aligned within one compact, ruggedised package to bring affordable, reproducible and manufacturable photonics solutions to optical networks, device remoting, weapons and aerospace guidance, and more.

Dr Gallo received a PhD in electrical engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia in 1991.

Dr Koehler received his PhD degree in electrical engineering - electrophysics from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, in 1995.
