UK businesses offered free environmental help
Envirowise is advising electronics businesses to sign up to its free and confidential designtrack service, which focuses on minimising the environmental impact of a product over its entire lifecycle.
These consultants are committed to helping companies convert turnover into profit.
Why buy expensive raw materials, store them, work on them and then throw them away.
It costs money to pay someone to remove them, pay for landfill and then pay tax on this privilege.
Is this good business? Most UK manufacturers could save 1% of turnover by reducing waste - equivalent to a 10 or even 20% increase in sales where margins run at 10 or 5%.
Envirowise is aimed at saving money for companies through reducing waste at source and use of clean technology.
"Our consultants demonstrate what can be done to minimise waste and maximise related savings," said Martin Gibson, Envirowise Director.
"This may seem too good to be true, but their help is totally free and there are no hidden costs or catches".
A consultant, working on behalf of Envirowise, will spend a full day at the site and then provide a report with a suggested action plan, for companies to achieve the savings identified.
To get the best out of the visit, managers should provide the consultant with the relevant company information.
The visit will also include a meeting with someone with financial responsibility in the company.
