Epcos can now offer special sample kits for toroids (ring cores) for EMI and LAN applications, helping users find the products that best fit their applications by enabling comparisons to be made from a wide range of products in different sizes and materials As a result of extensive investment over the past two years to expand its capabilities and production capacities, Epcos is now a leading supplier of toroids

Primarily used as EMC chokes for suppressing RF interference in the megahertz region and in signal transformers, ring cores rank among the key components in modern entertainment and industrial electronics, advanced information and communication technology.

Epcos offers cores in different coating versions (epoxy resin or parylene coating for small cores).

Five sample kits are available: LAN sample kits, for chokes and interface transformers for LAN and telecomms applications; NAFTA EMI sample kits, for current-compensated toroid chokes, especially for the NAFTA market; and EMI sample kits, for current-compensated toroid chokes, in three core diameter ranges, covering R10 to R36.

All sample kits encompass a broad range of materials.
