Low-profile design for tantalum polymer capacitors
Epcos is now shipping polymer tantalum capacitors in case size X, measuring only 1.5 mm high, 7.3 mm long and 4.3 mm wide.
Available with various insertion losses and terminal options, the filters have low leakage current.
The new SIFI-G types complement the SIFI-B series in particular.
They feature a current range extended to 36A, screw-terminal variants for types rated from 20A, a climate category to EN60068-1 extended to 25/100/21, and reduced dimensions in some types.
The filters rated at 16A are compatible with case type B.
UL/CSA and ENEC approval is pending.
Further SIFI series will follow.
The SIFI-G filters are targeted at general EMC applications in power supplies, medical engineering, industrial electronics, telecommunications (basestations, central offices) and data systems.
