A new electronics enclosure that meets both high calibre technical requirements and practical ergonomic applications for a navy ship application has been designed by engineers at Equipto Electronics Corp Features include a split door that allows easy access to the enclosure in a confined space yet maintains shielding to Tempest requirements
To allow more room, the keyboard shelf folds up when not in use.
Each cabinet has two screens.
For operator comfort, engineers built in a 10% tilt for the screens frames.
The design of the enclosure includes I/O areas for cable and power, fans and EMI air filtering.
To add strength to the enclosure without excess weight, end plates are made of cast aluminium.
To avoid galvanic action between metals, and resist moist salt air, materials used were specially selected to provide the best possible compatibility and durability.
