Latest Verilog standard released
IEEE 1364-2001, the Verilog hardware description language (HDL) standard, also known as Verilog-2001, was approved by the IEEE as a revised standard in March of this year.

As in previous years, the Southern Electronics Show will run alongside the well-established Southern Manufacturing Show, giving visitors the opportunity to meet companies from both the electronics and manufacturing sectors under one roof.
Other attractions at Southern Electronics 2005 will include: technology trails, enabling visitors from the aerospace and defence, autosport/automotive, electronics, packaging, marine industries and pharmabio sectors to easily locate relevant exhibitors and so make the most efficient use of their time at the show; "meet the buyer", a unique opportunity for exhibitors and visitors to get face-to-face for fifteen minutes with buyers from major organisations such as Sunseeker International, BMW Mini, BAE Systems and Britannia Airways; trade association pavilions, featuring members of organisations such as the Engineering Industries Association (EIA) and the British Engineering Manufacturers Association (BEMA), together with manufacturers organisations such as The Partnership for Profit Improvement (PFPI); and the Business Link Kent sponsored "Made in Kent" pavilion showcasing the industrial expertise available within the county.
Entry to Southern Electronics and Southern Manufacturing is free, with easy road access via junctions 11 or 13 of the M25, free parking and frequent courtesy coach transfers from Staines railway station.
