Erskine Systems has a new range of industrial switch-tripping battery chargers.

Erskine Systems has a new range of industrial switch-tripping battery chargers The industrial 110W switch-mode rectifiers are compact and efficient, and can be supplied as a stand-alone power supply, or as part of a complete DC power package including wall-mounted enclosure, alarm and control unit, and battery

The rectifier range covers nominal DC output voltages of 12, 24, 30, 48, 60 and 110V, and a constant-voltage current-limited output allows multiple rectifiers to be connected in parallel for redundancy or increased power.

Typically, these rectifiers are used in switch-tripping applications where the rectifier operates in parallel with a rechargeable lead-acid or nickel-cadmium battery.

The rectifier supplies small continuous loads, such as for instrumentation and indication lamps, while maintaining the battery in a fully charged state.

The battery is rated to supply any high-capacity short-duration switch/circuit-breaker tripping and closing loads.

The rectifiers are also suitable for many other types of DC load, including generator control panels and battery charging, telemetry systems, and industrial controllers.

Pat Moore, Managing Director at Erskine Systems, says: "Erskine's switch tripping rectifiers are the first of a new range of products to be launched by Erskine in 2004.

Erskine is keen to continue diversifying and expanding its existing range of AC and DC power products for industrial and communications applications and also to continue providing customised and bespoke solutions to meet individual client specifications".
