Flexible licences let designers commute
Tanner EDA has introduced commuter licensing for its family of Windows-based analogue and mixed signal EDA tools.
Tanner EDA has introduced commuter licensing for its family of Windows-based analogue and mixed signal EDA tools.
The new facility allows a user to "check out" any of the available Tanner licences on to a notebook PC for a predefined period, and then disconnect from the network without losing access to the Tanner software.
This is particularly useful for home working or for engineers who travel frequently, enabling them to continue design work in any location.
Tanner EDA is the first company to offer this facility for Windows-based EDA tools.
The commuter licences are simply selected from the software's help menu, and users can select an expiration date up to 15 days in the future.
The licences expire at midnight on the date selected.
Software independent, the licences can be used with Tanner EDA's full range of tools including T-Spice Pro for electrical design and simulation, L-Edit Pro for layout and standard verification, and HiPer Verify for advanced foundry compatible verification.
Starting at $3000, commuter licences are available now from EDA Solutions.
