L-Edit Pro V11 is the latest version of the analogue and mixed-signal design software for IC, MEMS and optical design from Tanner EDA.
Growth has come from across Europe but particular success has been achieved in Germany, where sales doubled last year, and in Belgium, largely as a result of startups spinning out from IMEC, one of Europe's leading microelectronics R and D centres.
Commenting on the company's success, Managing Director of EDA Solutions, Paul Double said: "Our growth this year has been all the more remarkable as it's generally been a flat year for the worldwide semiconductor industry and the EDA industry as a whole".
"We're seeing growth from semiconductor IDMs who are disillusioned with paying high prices for functionality they don't need from the larger EDA vendors, and from startups that are very conscious about getting to market fast with intuitive, high productivity tools but cautious with their budgets too".
