Austin takes Mini Challenge
EDA Solutions is sponsoring a driver in this year's UK Mini Challenge series of motor races.
EDA Solutions, exclusive European agent for chip design tool vendor Tanner EDA and multiproject wafer specialist Mosis, is sponsoring a driver in the UK Mini Challenge series of motor races this year.
Rob Austin, a chartered surveyor from Romsey, came second in the John Cooper Challenge series last year and went on to represent British drivers in European races.
This year he's aiming for the top spot on the podium in the Mini Challenge, which is a follow on from the 4-year-old John Cooper Challenge, and is to be broadcast on Sky Sports over the coming weeks.
Commenting on the deal Paul Double, Managing Director at EDA Solutions said: "Tanner tools are about driving the design of custom ICs with small low-cost EDA tools in order to get to market first".
"Rob's aim is similar - to get to the finishing flag first in his Mini".
There are 12 races in the Mini Challenge series, held at venues throughout the UK including Donington Park, Croft, Thruxton, Castle Comb, Mondello Park (Northern Ireland) and Silverstone.
