Platts and Ashmore expand support

EDA Solutions, exclusive European agent for Tanner EDA tools and Mosis multiproject wafer services, has added to its sales and technical support teams with two new staff appointments.

EDA Solutions, exclusive European agent for Tanner EDA tools and Mosis multiproject wafer services, has added to its sales and technical support teams with two new staff appointments.

This follows a doubling of its Tanner EDA business in Europe over the last 3 years.

Alistair Platts joins the company as Principal Engineer after two and a half years working in medical devices research.

He has a masters in electronics and computer based system design from the University of Huddersfield and is in the process of completing a PhD in analogue semiconductor test.

With his experience in analogue ASIC design, Platts will undertake support, training and design kit development.

He will also be involved in the company's expanding design services business, undertaking design and layout work.

David Ashmore has been appointed as Technical Sales Executive after completing an electronic engineering degree at the University of Surrey in 2005.

His background will enable him to provide both technical and commercial support for customers.
