L-Edit Pro V11 is the latest version of the analogue and mixed-signal design software for IC, MEMS and optical design from Tanner EDA.
Global foundry support for IC design tools
Users of Tanner EDA mixed-signal design tools now have easy access to X-Fab IC fabrication facilities following the introduction of support for the tools in free development kits from the foundry.
It works seamlessly with the Tanner EDA tool suite, including the S-Edit schematic editor and L-Edit layout editor.
MEMS Pro enables a designer to develop new MEMS designs, integrate existing designs into systems and couple them with electronics.
It allows data sharing between system designers, IC designers, process engineers and MEMS experts.
Crucially for design integrity and productivity, it enables consistent design checks between these multi-disciplinary teams.
The most popular application areas for the product are in the design of sensing devices, actuators, GPS devices, optical switches and medical analysis components.
EDA Solutions has supplied the L-Edit MEMS layout tool to European customers for the last four years and the new agreement with SoftMEMS will enable the company to provide a complete, system-level tool suite including schematic design, finite element analysis, 3D modelling and visualisation, and 2D all-angle mask layout.
Existing customers of Tanner's L-Edit can upgrade easily to MEMS Pro to develop a more efficient and productive approach to MEMS design.
