It is determined by the following criteria: quality, performance feedback, on-time delivery, affordability, and management, and the ability to handle requests, feedback and issues.
The above criteria are measured at all Lockheed Martin's US facilities.
Lockheed Martin believes that performance and quality are the key priorities when sourcing components such as circuit protection.
"E-T-A joins the elite few suppliers Lockheed Martin declares as the 'best of the best'", stated Carol Linwood, Purchasing Manager Materials Management for the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company.
"It takes everyone working at their best to achieve this award.
It is a pleasure to see this relationship go to the next level, and this award is long overdue".
This "Star Supplier" award recognises E-T-A's world-class commitment to quality, reliability and customer service.
Lockheed Martin's evaluation of E-T-A revealed that E-T-A provided a 100% pass rate in quality testing, zero rejections, and on-time delivery on 100% of shipments.
According to Dennis Bachta, Procurement Quality Assurance Representative for Lockheed Martin: "In my 25 years' experience with Lockheed suppliers, E-T-A is one of the few suppliers to have achieved such high ratings in these criteria".
E-T-A's partnership with Lockheed began 10 years ago on the F-22 Raptor Programme when E-T-A was the only circuit breaker manufacturer to meet Lockheed Martin's demanding specifications.
To date, no other circuit breaker supplier's performance and quality will suffice for the stringent requirements of Lockheed Martin's Joint Strike Fighter and F-22.
E-T-A now supplies high performance circuit breakers to Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Company for critical projects such as the FA-22 Raptor, F-16 Falcon, the C-130, and the newest project, the Joint Strike Fighter.
Tony Bright, President of E-T-A's North American Operations, in accepting the award commented: "This important recognition honours the people of E-T-A who are dedicated to meeting the unique needs of our customers.
