Power distribution system cuts cabinet
build time
A novel modular power distribution system is designed to reduce assembly time and to reduce space requirements in decentralised control cabinets.
E-T-A Circuit Breakers has developed a novel modular power distribution system designed to reduce assembly time and to reduce space requirements in decentralised control cabinets The new E-T-A SVS02 modular power distribution system populated with E-T-A ESS20-003 electronic circuit breakers provides reliable selective protection of the 24V DC output voltage and protection of the switch mode power supply (SMPS) during all operating states of the system

Thermal circuit breaker aids aircraft applicatins
A new single-pole aircraft-style thermal circuit breaker features temperature compensation and a trip-free mechanism.
The SVS02 is designed to fit in a control cabinet directly onto the DIN-rail alongside the SMPS.
The ESS20 physically isolates single faulty outputs, while allowing all other load circuits connected to the same SMPS to continue working as normal.
The electronic cutout mechanism of the ESS20 ensures complete physical isolation in the event of a failure, thus complying with the EC Machinery Directive.
Wiring of the power distribution inside a cabinet is minimised, significantly reducing installation time and cabinet space requirements.
The three output cables from the SMPS are connected to three screw terminals on the SVS02.
The positive supply is directly routed by a busbar in the SVS02 to the positive input of the ESS20 sockets.
The output load terminals of the individually protected channels are also directly connected to the negative supply without the need for further subdistribution.
The SVS02 handles up to 8A maximum continuous load.
Simplified wiring diagrams also facilitate easier troubleshooting and maintenance.
Four-, eight-, 12- and 16-channel versions of the SVS02 are available, designed to accept ESS20s in current ratings from 1 to 10A.
Group signalisation from the ESS20s is in-built to the SVS02 for local or remote indication.
This signalisation is also overcurrent protected.
Plug-in screwless connectors are optional to extend or change the system.
The flexible design of the SVS02 also allows customised modifications to be made, so that several devices, each with a protected plus and minus refeed, may be connected to a single ESS20 channel. Request a free brochure from E-T-A Circuit Breakers ...
