Rabbit Semiconductor's RCM3200 core module is now available from 2001 Electronic Components The RCM3200 is Rabbit's fastest and most powerful microprocessor core available to date

It is the ideal option for designers who want to rapidly develop and implement embedded systems with a fully integrated 10/100Base-T Ethernet interface allowing for real-time local or worldwide network connectivity.

The module is powered by the Rabbit 3000 microprocessor and comes complete with 512Kbyte Flash memory, 512Kbyte program SRAM and 256Kbyte data SRAM.

On-chip features of the Rabbit 3000 include six serial ports, 52 I/O lines, quadrature decoder, PWM outputs and pulse capture capabilities.

A battery-backable real-time clock is also provided.

Programs may be developed using Rabbit's Dynamic C development system; a low-cost C-language environment that includes editor, compiler and in-circuit debugger.

Programs are downloaded from the users PC directly to the hardware using a serial programming cable.

The Dynamic C CD includes an extensive library of drivers and sample programs along with a royalty-free TCP/IP stack with source code and documentation.

Also available is the RCM3200 development kit - priced at GBP 249 +VAT - which includes one RCM3200 module, prototyping motherboard, Dynamic C SE, programming cable and manuals.
