The Xzite family employs a plug and play architecture that allows users to instantly configure a custom power solution in less than five minutes. medical applications.

Excelsys Technologies has released the new Xzite 1200W modular power supply approved for use in medical applications The Xzite family of low-noise power supplies produces background noise of 59dBA while providing up to 1200W output in a 1U x 260 x 127mm package

The 90% efficient Xzite family employs a plug and play architecture that allows users to instantly configure a custom power solution in less than five minutes.

The Xzite series employs low-loss design topologies and field-proven technologies in planar magnetics and surface mount electronics.

The Excelsys Xzite series suits all systems that demand low acoustic noise output.

Typical noise sensitive markets include audio, broadcast, telecommunicationss and some IT equipment.

Gary Duffy, Managing Director of Excelsys Technologies, said "With our new Xzite series providing up to 1200W output power we will be able to provide an off the shelf solution to many more medical power projects or those required to operate in low noise environments".

The Xzite family consists of two powerPac models providing power output levels of 400 or 1200W.

Each model may be populated with up to six powerMods selected from a range of seven different output configurations including 2.5, 5.0, 12.0, 24.0, 48.0 and 24/24V.

As all modules are isolated, polarity is user-selectable and modules may be configured in series or parallel for higher output voltages or current.

The Excelsys Xzite has a universal input range, 85-264V AC, over voltage protection and will operate at full load up to 40C.

All possible configurations carry full safety agency approvals and are CE marked.

Alternative power interfaces are available from the factory.

A 5V bias/standby voltage is provided on both powerPacs and front panel LEDs provide visual system status checks.

Typical applications include medical sensors and monitoring systems, audio, broadcast, telecom, instrumentation, n+1 and redundant power systems, test and measurement equipment, printing and IT power.
