This spot-curing system has a small footprint and long lamp life, which enable customers to save on bench space and operating costs.
User-changeable optical filters allow the unit's broad spectral output to be tailored to specific applications, while protecting heat-sensitive substrates.
Filter changes are made externally without having to turn the unit off.
The EXFO Lite System will be on show next week at OFC 2003 at the Georgia World Congress Centre in Atlanta.
"This entry-level system is the direct result of customer feedback over the years", said Allan Firhoj, General Manager of EXFO Photonic Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of EXFO.
"Some customers don't necessarily need a full-fledged system for their low-volume, manual-precision assembly applications.
As a result, our R and D specialists have designed a unit to meet these specific requirements in a cost-conscious marketplace".
The EXFO Lite delivers power with control.
Output intensity and exposure times can be set from the user-friendly front panel.
The new 9-pin I/O port allows the user to control the unit externally.
Internal control systems maintain optimum operating conditions to insure reliable, repeatable cures.
