The FTB-7600E OTDR is offered in single and dual-wavelength configurations and delivers up to 256,000 sampling points for ultra-high trace resolution.

Exfo Electro-Optical Engineering has released the FTB-7600E OTDR for ultra-long-haul network applications.

The FTB-7600E OTDR provides a dynamic range of 50dB to allow characterisation of links up to 250km.

The FTB-7600E OTDR is offered in single and dual-wavelength configurations and delivers up to 256,000 sampling points for ultra-high trace resolution.

A single push of a button generates detailed results within less than five seconds, including a complete event table.

"The pendulum has begun to swing back as growing bandwidth demand in access and metro networks is increasingly placing a strain on long-haul and ultra-long-haul networks and requiring more fibre deployments", said Etienne Gagnon, EXFO's Vice-President of Product Management and Marketing.

"This OTDR combines accuracy and power for carriers intending to deploy and maintain ultra-long-haul networks".
