The UK Government's Department of Trade and Industry has chosen Elixent to exhibit at the CEATEC (Combined Exhibition of Advanced Technologies) exhibition in Japan next month as one of the UK's ten most innovative companies.

The company will highlight the performance, flexibility and power consumption savings of D-Fabrix, its patented reconfigurable algorithm processing (RAP) technology, on the DTI's UK Trade Partners stand with a demonstration that shows live video being processed on a reconfigurable platform.

"We're delighted to be recognised in this way and to have the opportunity to demonstrate the power consumption and performance advantages our technology offers electronic product manufacturers", said Kenn Lamb, CEO of Elixent.

"We hope the show is as successful for us as last year's when we met with both potential investors and a number of key Japanese companies that subsequently became customers".

D-Fabrix provides the lowest power reprogrammable solution for implementing algorithm processing in SoC devices.

This gives ASIC designers a flexible alternative to fixed function chips.

The technology uses reconfigurable arrays which enable functionality to be added or changed post-fabrication, enabling bugs to be fixed or even the whole chip to be customised.
