Ezurio has always prided itself on its robust Bluetooth solutions, which are designed for applications demanding the best performance However during recent testing the heat was turned up further than expected, when a high temperature test at BSI's Hemel Hempstead test lab was unexpectedly extended by the massive explosions and fire at the nearly Buncefield oil depot

Intelligent Bluetooth modules go parallel
Ezurio has extended the application of Bluetooth by developing a virtual parallel cable replacement mode for its range of intelligent Bluetooth modules.
On the night of the explosion Ezurio's Bluetooth latest modules and USB adapter had just started a 72 hour soak test at 100C.
With the fire raging outside, that three day soak period extended to a full 10 days at boiling point before BSI's test engineers could return to the lab and remove them from the oven.
Despite the extended testing, when they were powered up again, all units passed with flying colours.
"We realise that there is a substantial industrial market for robust Bluetooth modules in the medical, automotive and general embedded market", said Chris Shannon, CEO of Ezurio.
"We design our products to meet rigorous environmental conditions so that we can guarantee they provide the very best performance".
"We were a little concerned when we saw the first pictures of the Buncefield fire, but we were confident that if any Bluetooth product could survive it, it would be an Ezurio one".
All of Ezurio's Bluetooth modules have an operating temperature range of -40 to +85C and a storage range of -55 to +100C.
The Bluetooth module range includes Ezurio's easy to use AT command software which incorporates a complete embedded Bluetooth stack within the module, along with HCI modules with a USB interface for integration with embedded Windows CE and XP.
As well as physical performance, Ezurio's modules provide the fastest time to market, with comprehensive software integration tools and full Bluetooth approval covering the entire module range.
