Sales perk up for Fairchild

"We expect these additional wafer starts to come on line during late second quarter to support continued revenue growth in the third and fourth quarters".
"In summary, the second quarter is tracking ahead of our expectations, and we are pleased that the recovery we began to see in the third quarter of 2001 continues to build strength", said Pond.
Fairchild expects to report its second quarter financial results on 23rd July 2002.
