Dual-output buffer for DDR SDRAM modules
Fairchild Semiconductor has introduced a dual-output registered buffer for 184-pin, 2.5V PC200/PC266, 72bit-wide registered double data rate (DDR) SDRAM modules.
The device's avalanche immunity protects the IGBT from field failure caused by off-state breakdown avalanche and, therefore, increases reliability in IH applications.
The FGL60N100BNTD features switching speeds optimised for IH applications (typically 130ns) and low saturation voltage to limit conduction losses (2.5V at 60A collector current).
A built-in fast recovery diode on the FGL60N100BNTD simplifies circuit design and reduces component count.
"The rugged and reliable FGL60N100BNTD is the only product with avalanche immunity in the 900-1000V IGBT market specifically targeting IH appliances", said Taehoon Kim, Vice-President of Fairchild's High Power Product Group.
The FGL60N100BNTD is packaged in a TO-264.
This lead-free product meets or exceeds the requirements of the joint IPC/JEDEC standard J-STD-020B and is compliant with the European Union requirements, which will take effect in 2005.
