Fan Technology now offers designers of intelligent cooling systems increased flexibility with many ADDA fans now being supplied with integral pulse width modulation (PWM) circuitry Designated Version 9 of the range of intelligent cooling options offered by ADDA, PWM fans are available in 60, 80, 90 and 120mm frame sizes

Each fan incorporates a special IC containing pulse width modulation circuitry that can be used with an external thermistor to control fan speed by varying the pulse width of the internal drive voltage.

This allows the temperature of all types of enclosures to be controlled precisely and economically.

PWM is a highly effective and affordable method with minimal electrical losses making it ecologically beneficial with significant reduction of power consumption and increased life of battery operated equipment.
