Technical product distributor, Farnell has added four new series of linear and logarithmic Spectrol potentiometers to its passive components portfolio.

Technical product distributor, Farnell has added to the range of Spectrol potentiometers in its passive components portfolio In total, four new series of linear and logarithmic potentiometers have been added to the Farnell catalogue, the PCB-mount 148, 174 and 180-series, plus the panel-mount 175-series

Occupying just over 160mm2 of board space, the 148-series of single, double gang and switched potentiometers, provides a versatile means of voltage management.

Available in ohmic values from 1 to 50ohms, the 16-model series operates over a temperature range of -40 to +120C.

For 0.25W applications, the 174-series offers a choice of flatted or slotted shafts on a low-profile flat-pak conductive plastic base.

Available in three ohmic values, 10, 50 and 100ohms, this series offers 270deg of electrical and 300deg of mechanical rotation.

The 24 models in the 180-series all share a small 11.5mm x 9.5mm base and robust metal shafts.

Available in linear 0.1 or 0.05W values or in a 0.05W logarithmic version, they may be ordered with resistances of 1,5 and 10ohms.

The choice of a flatted or splined shaft makes them suited to a host of applications and accessories.

Completing the new potentiometer product line-up is the panel-mount 175-series.

Fitted with solder hook terminals and rated to 0.5W, this range provides a useful edge-mounted alternative to the more prevalent PCB mount potentiometer types.

Part of a wide range of Spectrol products, encompassing multi-turn potentiometers, encoders, counting dials and trimmers and trimming tools, the potentiometers are all listed with specifications in the current catalogue.

Next day delivery and minimum order quantities of just one unit make the Spectrol products readily accessible to designers and developers.
