Ideal for motor applications, the capacitors are available in three different case styles namely; plastic, leaded plastic and metal case, all three are offered in stud mounting formats.
The capacitance range comprises fourteen values these are - 1uf, 2, 3, 4, 5, 8, 10, 12, 15, 18, 20, 25, 30 and 40uf in plastic case and 10 values from 2uf to 40uf in metal case, with a rated tolerance of +/-5%.
The operating voltage is set at a maximum of 450Vac with a working temperature range of -25C to +85C and a dissipation factor of 20 x 10-4 (50Hz).
All are capable of withstanding steep wave fronts with a maximum voltage variation speed of 20V/ms.
The units have been designed to operate in a duty frequency range of 50 to 60Hz, however if a higher frequency is required this can be achieved as long as voltage, current, temperature and power limits are complied with.
All devices are manufactured from UL94V-0 flame retardant materials and comply with the exacting standards of VDE, CEI, and SEV approvals.
For added safety the capacitors benefit from an internal anti-pressure build up safety mechanism.
