Premier Farnell has appointed Graham Johnson as its new Global Business Systems Director.

Premier Farnell has appointed Graham Johnson as its new Global Business Systems Director.

The new senior appointment is a key part of Premier Farnell's strategic plans, underlining the significant investment that the group is making in new business systems and IT to drive its customer-focused e-business enablement.

Reporting to Group Chief Operating Officer, Laurence Bain, Graham will manage the IT and business systems operations across the Premier Farnell Group, focusing on adding value through the customer facing and back office systems.

He will be based in London at the group's UK headquarters.

Johnson is 42 and has a proven track record in change management and bridging the gap between business and IT, working across many different industries including financial services, FMCG and retail.

He has specialist knowledge of business process re-engineering, IT and organisational change and has worked in many major blue chip companies - including NatWest, the London Stock Exchange and AXA Insurance..

With over 21 years experience of the management of IT, strategic projects and change initiatives Johnson has also written several published articles and co-authored the book: "How to be your own management consultant".
