Farnell InOne is now offering a range of RoHS-compliant rectifiers from Taiwan Semiconductor.

Farnell InOne is now offering a range of RoHS-compliant rectifiers from Taiwan Semiconductor.

The 135 rectifiers are the first compliant products from Taiwan Semiconductors in the UK and are available via the Farnell InOne website.

With protection of public health and the environment as the primary objectives, the RoHS Directive will restrict the use of hazardous substances in new electrical and electronic equipment.

These include lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDEs).

The Far Eastern manufacturer's RoHS-compliant product range includes bridge rectifiers and transient voltage suppressors, in addition to standard, fast recovery and Schottky rectifiers.

Furthermore, Farnell InOne customers can now purchase the TS4148 range of high speed diodes.

Equivalent to the universally popular 1N4148 diode, the TS4148 range is available in miniature square 1206, 0805 and 0603 surface-mount packages, simplifying handling significantly compared with traditional rounded MELF packages.

Speaking on behalf of Farnell InOne, Jonathan Wilson, Product Manager for Discrete Semiconductors, commented: "The addition of Taiwan Semiconductor to our existing range of top-name rectifier brands gives customers an unrivalled combination of quality, choice and exceptional value".

"All products in the range are compliant with upcoming EU directives, emphasising Farnell InOne's commitment to support and guide customers and suppliers through the RoHS legislation".
