Recognised as a key support for design engineers in the face of the deadline for RoHS compliance - July 2006 - Farnell InOne also has a dedicated hotline providing information and support relating to the upcoming RoHS and WEEE Directives, a dedicated website area and regular e-newsletter.
Commenting, Kevin Yapp, Marketing Director for Europe Asia-Pacific at Farnell InOne, says: "A key concern for design engineers with regard to the RoHS Directive is access to a comprehensive and up-to-date range of compliant products".
"Farnell InOne has seen this need grow in recent months and worked hard to get the first RoHS compliant catalogue to customers' desks".
"We are working hard to support our customers as we get closer to the compliance date for RoHS, and have two key drivers to our approach".
"First, that RoHS will be a catalyst for us to improve our business processes, which will ultimately benefit our customers".
"Second, that the legislation is going to deliver positive environmental benefits in the long term and as such we should embrace it".
"We are therefore completely committed to continuing to help customers and suppliers alike through this time of change".
