Premier Farnell has received a special award for the global market campaign it gave Microchip's 6-pin PIC microcontroller.

Premier Farnell has received a special award from Microchip Technology in recognition of the global market campaign it gave Microchip's 6-pin PIC microcontroller, which remains the world's smallest microcontroller The PIC10F microcontroller from Microchip was promoted simultaneously at the end of 2004 by both Farnell InOne, Premier Farnell's business in Europe, and Newark InOne, its operation in the USA

Based on its 12-year trading history with Microchip, Premier Farnell was able to identify exactly what was required to create one of Microchip's biggest and most successful product campaigns in the last five years.

The use of Premier Farnell's CRM database was integral to the target marketing success of the campaign, generating some off the highest response rates Premier Farnell has ever experienced.

Rick Bosshardt, Vice President of Worldwide Distribution, Microchip comments: "Premier Farnell's efforts throughout this global campaign were extensive, and the team helped to significantly increase the customer reach with its multichannel programmes to promote and distribute this new product".
