The newly designed 2006 catalogue from Farnell InOne will land on desks across the UK this week, bringing design engineers a choice of 40,000 new products and over 20,000 price reductions.

Supported by the BSI RoHS Trusted Kitemark, the Farnell InOne catalogue is the industry's first to flag RoHS compliant products, making it even easier for engineers to select the components they need.

The new look, compact catalogue has been specially designed for ease of use and comprises four books, each developed to meet the needs of professionals working in the electronics industry, whatever their role.

Book One is the latest comprehensive guide for electronic components and lists semiconductors, optoelectronics, prototyping and accessories, passive components and connectors, giving design engineers access to the widest choice of leading component suppliers in one place.

Book Two of the series, entitled "Electrical and mechanical", is crammed with electromechanical and automation components; Book Three covers test equipment, office and IT; and Book Four is packed with products for tools, maintenance, health and safety.

The new catalogue has more in-depth ranges than ever before and includes the latest technology from world-class manufacturers such as International Rectifier, ST Microelectronics, Texas Instruments and National Semiconductor.

Another new feature is the Design Hints section that provides engineers with top tips on essential design tools and techniques and covers the latest innovations around Integrated Circuits.

Detailed information about Farnell InOne's RoHS customer and technical support services can also be found in the new catalogue.

These include a free bill of materials conversion service available from the company's website, downloadable certificates of compliance for all RoHS compliant products, fast online search functionality to help keep people up to date with the changing status of products all backed up by Farnell InOne's unique part numbering policy that they believe is the only totally reliable way to identify and segregate compliant stock.
