Farnell is offering a new and improved rereeling service for customers in Europe.

The innovative service - revamped following extensive customer research - allows Farnell's customers to order the exact quantity of reeled components required to meet their production needs.

This leads to cost savings as customers pay only for what they need while eliminating the need to store or dispose of excess product.

The rereeling service is available on over 9000 surface mount components, including passive products, optoelectronic devices and semiconductors.

Farnell's advanced and streamlined logistics means that same day despatch is offered as standard.

Available to customers throughout Europe, the service will be particularly attractive to small and medium sised organisations with lower volume production runs.

As well as rereeling to customer-specific quantities, Farnell's service improvements include the provision of 350mm of leader and trail tape with sprocket drive holes and the secure connection of the component to the tape using a brass shim.

Customers can place orders for re-reeled parts online or via telephone or email.

The cost for the rereeling service is minimal at GBP 4 for the UK and Eur 6 for mainland Europe.
