A new "Connector overview" summarises the entire product range from FCI's Communications, Data and Consumer Divisions, and is designed to simplify and accelerate the connector selection process.

A new "Connector overview" summarises the entire product range from FCI's Communications, Data and Consumer Divisions, and is designed to simplify and accelerate the connector selection process.

The contents of this 41-page guide is split into three distinct sections covering back-panel, I/O and board to board connectors.

From the outset, individual product lines are categorised using graphical icons depicting principal application areas, either telecomms, data, consumer or industrial.

Each product line is introduced by a short description and detailed application listing followed by a table presenting the most commonly used parts.

The associated part reference numbers provided can then be used to access datasheets, application notes and engineering drawings using the products search utility on the FCI website.

A separate URL printed at the foot of each successive product line page provides an alternative and direct means of obtaining additional product information.

FCI's "Connector overview" can be obtained from local FCI sales offices and distributors or downloaded as a PDF file from the "Product literature" section of the company's website.
