Switchless cameras configured by RS232

The JAI A-Series camera range from Firstsight Vision offers switchless setup via RS232C and software configurable partial scan (58-124frame/s) for faster acquisition.

The JAI A-Series camera range from Firstsight Vision offers switchless setup via RS232C and software configurable partial scan (58-124frame/s) for faster acquisition in applications where full-frame vertical resolution is unnecessary Designed for use in high-volume OEM and automated imaging applications, the A-Series integrates the latest in ASIC design to provide the first industrial camera available with setup only through an RS232C interface, requiring no rear-panel DIP switches or internal camera access to configure the camera

The A-Series eliminates operator setup errors by means of a new RS232C command protocol that allows camera setup from your PC, a dumb terminal or hyper terminal software to be executed precisely the same way every time, an advantage in clean rooms and other embedded applications.

With the elimination of DIP switches, the camera setup is easier, faster and error-free.

At the same time, reliability has been improved to 100,000 hours calculated MTBF.

Other design features include delayed readout for multicamera applications and pulse width exposure for on the fly exposure control. Request a free brochure from Firstsight Vision ...
