Nonpolarised relay eases design and
assembly
The latest addition to the Finder 55 series is a nonpolarised relays that enables the DC coil supply to be connected either way, yet the relay's status indicator LED always functions correctly.
Finder's latest addition to its much lauded 55 series relays is a nonpolarised version that enables the DC coil supply to be connected either way, yet the relay's status indicator LED always functions correctly The 55.34 simplifies design, manufacture and maintenance by obviating the need for a polarity conscious wiring layout

Miniature PCB relay suits a wide range
Finder has launched a miniature PCB relay suitable for use in a wide range of industrial applications and electronic appliances.
By using dual, "back to back" LEDs, a status indicator will illuminate regardless of the polarity of the DC coil supply, and as a beneficial by-product, the "back EMF" diode is no longer needed.
The versatile four-pole relay has also been upgraded in other areas, notably its current rating which has been considerably increased from 5 to 7A after attaining this enhanced rating from the all-important UL approvals body.
Most of Finder's competitors' relays are rated at 5A.
Finder's 55 series relays are also now available with a dual-purpose, combined lockable test button and mechanical flag indicator.
When depressed, the test button momentarily operates the relay for circuit continuity test purposes.
Alternatively, a small plastic pip can be snipped off the relay's housing, allowing the test button to be rotated, moving the contacts to a fixed, operated condition.
The relay remains in this condition until the test button is rotated back to its former position.
Finder's 55 series general purpose, plug in relays are available with AC or DC coils, PCB versions and in RTIII (washtight) versions.
The relays occupy a small, 20.7 x 27.7mm footprint and have the broadest range of approvals from worldwide bodies and organisations for a relay of its kind.
At least 17 approvals for the series have been achieved, making the relay suitable for a great many applications, and for use in countries around the globe, thus easing design and inventory for UK OEMs.
