Taiwanese principal expands LED capacity
Edison Opto Corp has established another production facility in Heng-Li, DongGuan in China.

The grand opening of Heng-Li factory was held recently.
Hundreds of partners and suppliers came from all over the world to celebrate this ceremony.
The new factory will keep expanding its expertise services in optical design, mechanical design, electronic design, and thermal management to fulfil customer demand.
President Wu says the company's experienced R and D staff can transfer their achievements immediately to the Heng-Li factory, and cultivate local employees.
This will ensure smooth communication and interaction between Taipei and Heng-Li, which will result in a faster R and D cycle.
Looking forward to the future, President Wu says that with high power LED packaging as core technology, Edison is committed to the LED lighting market, and will invest in new factories in China on a large scale.
By the end of 2007 the Heng-Li site could produce up to 3 million high power LEDs per month, and up to 500,000 LED modules per month.
In addition, the Heng-Li factory can also produce up to 5 million optical transmitting SPDIF components per month, and up to 2 million optical sensors per month.
With quality and service in mind, President Wu is confident that Edison has established good relations with major manufacturers, and accumulated much OEM experience over recent years.
By providing a variety of services, and teaming up with other industry players, Edison aims to create another wave for high power LEDs.
