Because the LUC can be introduced in any application currently equipped with Fischer receptacles, its hygiene benefits can be exploited with no need for changes to instrumentation.
It is currently available with 2-19 pins, with solder or crimp contacts, and in three colourways.
With the increasing use of disposable medical products in the interests of patient safety, Fischer Connectors anticipates a lively market for the LUC, and early feedback from the USA is favourable.
However, use of the LUC is not restricted to medical applications, and it is expected to find a niche in other applications demanding quality with economy.
