Custom smart cards available online

Fully custom smart cards featuring custom text and graphics will be available online, in quantities from 1 to 1000, following the launch by Flint Smart of a new service at the Smart Card show.

Standard contact and contactless smart cards or magnetic cards from Gemplus and Burrell Infocard will be supplied to customers specification in terms of appearance and electronic configuration.

After the Smart Card show, Flint will be opening www.flint.co.uk/smart for an instant, online quotation.

Customers will be able to order online using a credit card or Flint account facility, and Flint will send a sample card within four days of order.

On the site, customers will be able to choose the colour of the card, the type of card from the list stocked, add the text in the card format shown, add photographs if required, and also choose a background colour from the 12 shown on the website.

Flint will also accept an originally created file and produce a sample from that.

Alternatively, Flint Smart can offer a card design service.

Data for electronic personalisation can be handled by secure e-mail, CD, media discs or in another agreed format.

Stocks of Gemplus and Burrell Infocard smart cards are held at Flint, to give a very quick turn-around, even on large orders.

The service will be offered on Gemplus memory cards types GPM2K, GPM 8K, GFM2K, GFM8K, all the micropressor MPCOS range, and the contactless Gemeasy 8000 either with keyflow A and keyflow B.

From Burrell Infocard, Flint will be holding the SLE 4442, ST14C02 and SLE 4406 products.
