New miniature surface-mount EMI C and Pi filters from Flint are some of the smallest high-capacitance and high-current devices currently available for use in networking, telecomms and military applications The new Syfer high performance SBSG series of C and Pi filters from Flint measure just 5.25 x 3.2mm yet offer current ratings of 5 and 10A for the Pi and C sections, respectively

Weighing only 0.2g the filters are available in 1 to 220nF capacitance values and feature a tight tolerance of +/-20%, allowing accurate component selection.

Capacitances up to 47nF are rated at 500V DC and operate effectively in a temperature range of -55 to +125C.

The filters are suitable for use with pick and place machines, which enable time and cost savings on assembly compared with conventional screw-in devices.

In addition, a patented "wet process" multilayer technology, combined with Syfer's established expertise in filters, ensures excellent overall performance.
