The result is more than a 60% improvement in contrast, while viewing angle is improved by more than 25%.
GPO is believed to be the only manufacturer to offer this fine spacing on standard character modules.
The new modules are available in STN yellow modes, with or without LED backlight, and in FSTN reflective mode.
Sizes offered are from 80 x 36, through 98 x 60 to 182 x 33.5mm in area, either 8 or 12mm in thickness.
