Flint is launching a high-current version of Syfer's three-terminal EMI filter chip, which is now capable of carrying up to 2A These chips significantly enhance product performance across a whole range of applications including PCs and peripherals, telecommunications equipment, digital TVs and VCRs

Flint's new high current EMI filter chip prevents the radiation of interference emanating from high-speed signal lines and ICs and also the propagation of high frequency noise on power lines.

The chip achieves improved high-frequency filtering performance by feeding the DC current directly through the device giving a low inductance to ground.

In addition, a DC resistance of only 50mohm ensures minimal voltage drop and the use of stable dielectrics enables good insertion loss performance up to full rated voltage and to the extremes of rated temperature.

Rated at 50V DC, 2A and suitable for use in temperature ranges varying from -55 to +85C, the chips are available in 1206 and 1806 case sizes, with capacitance values of 22nF and 0.2uF, respectively and can be supplied in bulk or on tape and reel for reflow soldering.
