Next generation battery cuts out NRE costs
Recently launched by Varta Microbattery and now in stock at Flint Distribution, the Varta Easypack is billed as the ideal solution for next generation battery requirements.
All are pin compatible with industry standard analogue ICs.
Output from the LM317 series is adjustable between +1.2 and +37V using just two external resistors.
The three-terminal ICs deliver load regulation performance rated at 1.5% of output voltage, for output currents of 10mA right up to 1.5A, and the devices feature thermal overload protection with short-circuit current limiting also built-in.
Designers have a choice of TO-263 or TO-220 packages, both having initial accuracy specified as +/-2% for voltage reference applications.
The MC78xx series provides a choice of +5, +6, +8, +9, +10, +12, +15, +18 or +24V fixed positive voltage outputs in TO-220 packages.
Premium grade output tolerance of +/-2% is provided as standard and sustained output currents in excess of 1.0A (2.2A peak) are achievable, with short-circuit current limiting, output transistor safe-area compensation and thermal overload protection all included as standard features.
Identical specifications are quoted for fixed negative voltage regulators in the MC79xx series, which, like the MC78xx, offer 2.2A capability and +/-2% accuracy for nine voltage outputs from -24 to -4V.
