A wide range of accessories is also available, including a choice of connector termination styles, 9V snaps, bump plates and contacts, battery straps, clips, fuse holders and jacks, plus mylar insulators for protection during storage and transit.

The battery holders and accessories are manufactured by Memory Protection Devices of Farmingdale, NY.

Applications include battery-powered products of all types as well as instruments such as desktop and portable PCs, which require battery backup for memory subsystems.

Holder options for the popular CR2032 series and other 20mm coin cells include four press-to-eject configurations offering through hole variants as well as surface mount holders on tape and reel.

Further variants include easy-in/out cell insertion, holders featuring an electrode retainer arm and also a vertical mounting option.

The holder bodies are moulded from high quality LCP or glass filled polyester, certified to UL94V0.

LCP holders have nickel-plated stainless-steel contacts, glass filled polyester.

Glass-filled polyester holders feature nickel-tin over beryllium-copper contacts.

Coin cell holders moulded in PBT accommodate cell types from 8-10mm such as CR 1025, up to 30mm diameter BR/CR 3032, and are available in a choice of surface mount or through hole for horizontal mounting, featuring a retainer arm and easy in-out moulding design.

Stacking-type holders, accommodating two coin cells for 6V, are also included in the range.

Underlining the breadth of options to designers of battery powered products, Flint also offers a variety of low profile holders for Sub-A cells, plus miniature N-cell holders and holders for 6V CR5, CR23 and CR223 cells.

Holders for AAA and AA types deliver a wide selection of configurations from single holders up to batteries of 8 x AAA cells or 10 x AA cells, enabling designers to meet battery life requirements within the dimensions imposed by the product enclosure.

The wide range of accessories includes T-style and I-style snaps, through hole PCB snaps and other styles including large SN6 snaps.

Termination options include printed circuit pins, solder lugs, 9V wire leads and 6in wire leads.

Bump plates and contacts include various styles for AAA, AA and C-cells, plus generic contact styles.

Further options include battery straps and a wide range of standard panel mounting fuse holders, as well as insulated battery clips, lead acid clips, battery end covers and retainer ribbons.
