Power MOSFETs come in ultracompact packages
Rohm Electronics is significantly enlarging its ultracompact power-MOSFET lineup, which already encompasses 60 different devices.
There are four models in the family: a 20mAh version for applications like cordless handsets, hot-swap and memory backup.
The 400, 450 and 600mAh batteries are suitable for powering mobile phones, Bluetooth PDAs, notebook PCs, and many other portable devices.
They also provide an excellent alternative to bulky, cylindrical and prismatic battery packs whilst maintaining a competitive alternative to nickel cadmium cells.
The V 20 HR is just 2mm thick and only 11.4mm in diameter and weighs less than 1g.
Larger V 400H R, V 450H R and V 600H R cells are specified for higher current drains, up to 6A(pulsed), they are ideally suited for space-conscious designs, with an external thickness of 4.65, 5.4 and 6.5mm, respectively.
