Next generation battery cuts out NRE costs
Recently launched by Varta Microbattery and now in stock at Flint Distribution, the Varta Easypack is billed as the ideal solution for next generation battery requirements.
The Secure Digital (SD) memory card format is suitable for all types of digital files, measuring 24 x 32 x 2.1mm and featuring a 9-pad interconnection supporting SD and SPI interfaces.
The SD electrical interface supports 2Mbyte/s continuous write speed for fast and easy downloading from the Internet.
Maximum continuous read speed is 3Mbyte/s.
The cards are produced by SimpleTech, and comply fully with the SD format including Secure Music Data Initiative (SDMI) security features, making these cards ideal for applications in Internet music, electronic books and other media requiring copyright protection.
A mechanical write protect switch is also provided.
Digital devices such as cameras, camcorders, audio players, PDAs, voice recorders, GPS systems, cellular phones, TVs and projectors will also benefit from this high density, industry standard storage.
Supply voltage range is 2.7 to 3.6V, compatible with many battery-powered, portable instruments.
Low stand by current of 0.5mA, combined with operating requirements of 60 and 80mA read and write current, respectively, reduce overall power consumption.
The cards are extremely rugged, capable of withstanding up to 1000G shock and up to 15G vibration.
SimpleTech SD memory cards from Flint are fully compatible with the SD Memory Card Physical Layer Specification Version 1.01, File System Specification Version 1.01 and the CPRM based Security Specification Version 1.01.
