Since we introduced the award programme, Hirose has worked consistently with us to improve their standing on every measure - resulting in its transition upwards from the top 15 in the first year, to the top 10 in the second year and now the top franchise.
We congratulate Hirose on its fine achievement, and look forward to developing this very strong relationship further to the benefit of both our customers".
Howard Jones, General Manager for Hirose in the UK thanked Flint for the award, saying: "The support we have received from Flint in bringing our products to market has been exceptional, in terms of building and maintaining a strong stock profile, true demand creation and the overall marketing investment that Flint has made in Hirose".
Flint's annual Franchise of the Year award is presented to the franchise with the best overall performance in nine aspects of the distributor/vendor relationship, including logistical support, quality, competitive pricing and marketing support.
All the measures evaluate how well Flint and the franchise are able to work together to deliver high quality of service to Flint customers.
Sales volume is only one factor of the nine in the scoring, making it entirely possible for smaller franchises to score higher than much larger ones.
Barton, explains the impact of the scheme, saying: "Our Franchise of the Year programme is just one aspect of the very detailed on-going work that we do with all of our franchises to deliver the best possible quality of service to our customers.
Our performance in critical areas, including technical support and on-time delivery, does depend on the support we receive from our franchises.
Flint's Franchise of the Year programme provides us with a tool to measure each franchise, to highlight areas where things are going well, and equally to focus attention on areas that we need to work together to improve".
