Passives range goes lead-free

A Flint product story

Koa's full range of passive components is now available Pb-free.

Koa's full range of passive components is now available Pb-free.

Since its formation in 1940, Koa has an established environmental track record, and the decision to offer Pb-free versions of all devices underlines this commitment.

However, not all customers are ready for Pb-free processing, and so SnPb versions will remain available for the foreseeable future.

What's more all Pb-free components are compatible with current SnPb solder processes.

Pb-free devices from Koa are suitable even for demanding automotive applications.

QS9000 approval is held for the majority of product families and the company will be one of the first passives manufacturers to obtain TS-16949 certification (KOA's Japanese facilities have already been audited).

Koa's broad range of passive components, available via Flint, includes resistors, capacitors, inductors, EMC devices, thermal sensors and integrated passive devices (using thin-film on silicon technology for both standard and custom designs).
