Flint scoops fourth Hirose distributor award

Connector manufacturer Hirose really pulled out all the stops, last month, with a distribution technology conference held at the beautiful and historic Bletchley Park.

Connector manufacturer Hirose really pulled out all the stops, last month, with a distribution technology conference held at the beautiful and historic Bletchley Park.

During WW2 the German armed forces' top-secret codes were broken at Bletchley Park, providing the allies with vital information towards their war effort.

It is also home to Colossus - the world's first programmable computer.

The venue provided an interesting backdrop where technology of today met cutting edge technology from over 60 years ago.

Attended by representatives of Hirose's distribution network, the event culminated in the presentation of the Hirose Distributor of the Year Award.

Wendy Leigh from Hirose presented the award to Flint Distribution of Coalville, Leicestershire which won the award for the fourth time in eight years.

Receiving the award were Gary Beeby, E-Mech Marketing Manager, and Lynne Battye, E-Mech Franchise Manager.

Leigh said: "The award has real meaning to us, we award points throughout the year to distributors on their merits".

"In Flint's case they have given unrivalled levels of co-operation taking our products to market, this is also reflected in their customer service and conversion rate for new design in projects".

Obviously delighted with the award, Battye paid tribute to the excellent relationship enjoyed by Flint and Hirose.

"Winning the distributor of the year award really is the icing on the cake".

"We have all worked incredibly hard, both Flint and Hirose".

"To have grown the franchise to the extent that we have over the last year and in the face of a difficult market, really demonstrates what great things can be achieved when working with such a quality manufacturer".

Beeby added: "The project conversion rate has gone sky high".

"We will all be working hard to make sure that this success is repeated".
