Fluke 170 Series Digital Multimeters (DMMs) come with lifetime warranties and the latest category IV safety ratings.

Fluke 170 Series Digital Multimeters (DMMs) come with lifetime warranties and the latest category IV safety ratings.

The tough and accurate tools are designed specifically for demanding front-line industrial, electrical and electronic technicians and engineers for use up to 1000V and 10A AC or DC.

The new Fluke 170 Series, which includes the 175, 177 and 179 models, was developed for use in environments that range from relatively "clean" bench areas to some of the harshest work environments known.

The 170 Series is built based on extensive research into what this broad range of users requires in a DMM.

Backed with a unique lifetime warranty, the 170 Series features an exclusive Fluke-designed True-RMS engine, boasts 0.09% accuracy (Models 177 and 179) with 6000 counts of resolution on a bright, backlit display (Models 177 and 179).

In addition, the meters offer Min/Max/Avg recording, AutoHold and Display Hold for enhanced troubleshooting.

While operating in the Min/Max/Avg mode, the meters emit an audible tone to signal a new minimum or maximum reading has been sensed and stored.

Research clearly shows that users ultimately want a multimeter that measures faster than most multimeters available on the market today.

The entire 170 Series offers impressive speed, as the display powers-up and presents measurement readings twice as fast as other multimeters.

Fluke engineers designed the 170 Series for the most demanding testing jobs.

The meters provide AC and DC voltage ranges up to 1000V and AC and DC current ranges up to 10A.

The frequency, capacitance and resistance ranges up to 100kHz, 10,000mF and 50Mohm make the meters suitable for modern applications.

One of the key features of the 170 Series is the ergonomic tapered-case design that incorporates an integrated protective holster, which is produced with a special overmoulding process.

With this overmoulding technology, a shock load is dispersed over a greater area of the case.

In addition, the rigid structure minimises case flex, which in turn reduces stress on the electronics inside the unit.

Outside the case, the standard-issue probe holders are conveniently integrated into the overmoulding.

The end result is a DMM with superior durability, utility and product life.

The innovative battery access door in the Fluke 175, 177 and 179 models allows the user to change the batteries without opening the complete case and breaking the calibration seal.

In response to primary market research, Fluke designed in ToolPak compatibility for the 170 Series meters.

The ToolPak option provides convenient strap and magnet hangers for maximum versatility, freeing the user's hands to hold both test leads for safe and effective operation.
