DMMs feature true-RMS measurements
All new ranges of Fluke digital multimeters feature true-RMS measurements, vital for correct fault finding in circuits with nonlinear loads, such as office equipment PSUs and variable-speed drives.
DMMs come with choice of free gifts
Fluke is offering a choice from six free accessories in a limited period promotion of its current CAT III 1000V/CAT IV 600V safety approved general-purpose and high-end series digital multimeters.
As with all members of the Fluke 180 Series, the 183 and 185 meet the measurement requirements for even the most demanding applications.
AC and DC true RMS measurements, a 50,000-count display and 0.05% basic DC accuracy (0.07% for model 183) ensure that all signals are measured in detail and accurately.
The extended ranges allow the user to measure resistance up to 50Mohm, capacitance up 50,000mF and frequencies up to 1MHz.

Multifunctional documenting calibrators take HART
Fluke has upgraded its 744 Series calibrator with enhanced HART communication capabilities.
For enhanced troubleshooting, the 183 and 185 offer a relative mode, min/max/average recording with time stamp and a fast min-max mode to capture events as short as 1ms.
In addition to this, temperature (185 only), dB (185 only), duty cycle, continuity and diode measurement possibilities make the models 183 and 185 truly versatile multimeters for all applications.
The model 185 even provides percentage readouts for 4-20mA process loop calibration.
To meet the latest requirements for documenting, storing, reporting and analysing using computer technology, the 183 and 185 models have an infra-red computer interface which allows the user to exchange measurement data between the meter and a computer.
The optional FlukeView Forms software is ideal for documenting test procedures for new equipment installation, meeting regulatory guidelines, and for tracking maintenance histories.
It also allows the user to monitor the meter's display life on a computer screen and monitor and log signal variations and trends in "real time".
They allow up to 10 (183) or 30 (185) readings to be stored in a nonvolatile memory.
These stored readings can later be used as a reference for relative measurements or can be downloaded to a computer, using the optional FlukeView Forms software for documenting, analysing or reporting purposes.
The closed-case calibration feature of the new 180 Series allows calibration adjustments to be made directly through the infra-red interface port.
Fluke has further improved the functionality of these digital multimeters with a battery access door that enables the user to change batteries without having to open the meter's case and break the calibration seal.
The DMMs meet the latest IEC 61010-1 (EN 61010-1) second edition CAT III 1000V and CAT IV 600V safety ratings.
The traditional removable protective holster protects the meter for use and abuse out in the field.
The optional ToolPak accessory provides strap and magnet hangers for "hands-free" operation freeing both users hands to move the test leads around for optimum control and safety Like all other Fluke 180 Series, these new meters provide the user with the highest security and confidence with a standard lifetime warranty.
The meters come complete with an ISO9000 calibration certificate with measurement data, a holster with integrated probe holders, test leads, installed batteries, alligator clips (only 185), and a manual available in 10 languages. Request a free brochure from Fluke (UK) ...
